Rising Gold Prices

Gold prices hit an all-time high recently suggesting that 2025 is a great time to search for the lost gold bars of Camp McKinney. The two bars equal more than fifty pounds of gold bullion at sixty percent purity or about thirty pounds pure. But remember, these historical bars have a cash value far greater than scrap gold.

When I began my search in 2012, I used only verified facts from the historic BC Provincial Police files and court records from the trial of Joe Keane, the man who killed gold bar thief Mathew Roderick. After ten years of exhaustive research and adventure in the forest, I self-published the book so others could enjoy the same excitement looking for lost treasure.

As I aged from sixty years of age to seventy, the disappointment of not finding the gold bars was replaced by the satisfaction of living a real adventure. I made my share of mistakes in the search but am proud of the facts placing the search area far from where others searched. The book’s Endnotes list all sources for verification.

Chasing Stolen Gold is pricey and only available on Amazon due to the high costs of producing a large format, premium colour, fully illustrated book. With maps. An e-book is also available. On your next camping trip, walk with excitement in your step. And take this adventure to its best possible conclusion.
