According to WordPress, the yearly summary for Chasing Stolen Gold mentions there were 1460 viewers to my blog. I wrote a mere 14 posts and the highlight happened on October 14th. The top three countries visiting were Canada, the US and China. For a man who has done very limited marketing, I’m grateful to all those who took the time to visit.

What I find most interesting is the occurrence of the number fourteen, three times if I’m allowed to use the 14 in 1460. According to Anne Christie’s Simply Numerology from 2005, “this number connects with the media, publishing, and writing.” It is also “the number of the inner voice, intuition, and self-reliance.” She concludes by adding “The prospect of loss is always present, even though money dealings and speculation can prove lucky, but the individual must guard against overconfidence.”

Me, overconfident and facing loss? Yes. Intuitive and self-reliant? Yep. Connected to writing, publishing and the media? Uh-huh. To the greater population, the above statements carry no factual basis or truth but I find such “coincidences” interesting. There is much yet to learn about our fascinating world and for my children and grandchildren’s sake, I hope we get to.
